The cosmetic/voice lines are very fun
yep, all the in-game overlays just save me from having to track (if I'm trying)
before they added dota+ (and before they removed all my cool custom scripts)
you used to be able to add a lot of 3rd party scripts/hotkeys to stay active
but now it's just $5/month

also, I think they paywalled blocks/mutes
I remember reading that somewhere
you can still report w/o D+
but you need it to blacklist queueing into someone

I think the core game *can* be fun, but the game is still too ill-formed in beta to get a sense of what it wants to be
which is what burned me out on it
not kit/balance changes, but the larger fundamental changes
Its unirronically the same thing that killed Underlords (Valve's autochess game)
Dota also moved in that direction a bit, after 7.0 I'd argue they've increased the frequency they "reinvent" the game
I thought the 3 rounds I played were fun
but I would never play more

Underlords died for chinese money what
well, it died when they starved it for updates
but the lead-in to that was when they changed the whole Underlord mechanic, and made it more of a CYOA than an autobattler

yeah, it was mishandled by bother Valve and Riot
and imo the whole RTS custom game scene being dead is just sad
idk what the fix for it is
