Bob have you been playing Digimon this whole time
I've been on a break after finishing everything I wanted to do in lost evolution
bob b0b
if I'm gonna be autistic when people don't want to get spammed with notifs and still want to browse the channel

Pit People is one of the few Behemoth games I didn't play. I started a Castle Crashers run before I left but it didn't get far. How does it compare
bob b0b
I grew up playing castle crashers on my xbox, and I've spent a lot of time watching a good friend of mine play tactical rpgs like fire emblem
bob b0b
it hits a nice balance between the actual tactical strategy parts of a game like fire emblem in sheer contrast to the utter chaos that goes on in a proper behemoth game
bob b0b
robots teleporting around and doing chain lightning, gnomes with rocket chairs that can send your units very far away, bardic support units that turn into a bomb when they die, spider-centaurs that can wall off parts of the field and carry other units around
bob b0b
and it's two player co-op, so you and a friend both get to bring your team of choice to play the story and do sidequests
Polar_ b0b
Damn that actually sounds sick af, I guess I shouldn't have skipped. Is it max two players? Did you like Alien Hominid?
bob b0b
max two players yeah, and I haven't played alien hominid personally. I do know that they made a sequel to that like last year though
bob b0b
I'm a really big fan of the variety in team compositions as well, just because of how the system works. More generic units allow for more customization, humans and other humanoids are allowed to customize between ranged weapons, throwing weapons, and melee weapons with shields, and different tiers of armor
Polar_ b0b
The original was fun, I played a ton of it with friends on local co-op. It has this platformer stick figure mini game that was simple but super fun
bob b0b
The different monster units are very singular in what they do but what they lack in customization they make up for in utility or raw power you can't get from basic humans
bob b0b
you kind of have to play this dance between defensive and offensive functionality, your units have carrying capacity that you need to adhere to
bob b0b
weight cap directly determines how much damage they deal, and for humans it determines how much movement they have
bob b0b
this is my shield guy, since he's got a medium helm and a heavy shield he has to have a light sword in order to fit the weight cap

bob b0b
but it also serves his purpose because that sword has freeze chance and it hits twice so he's kind of just a fatass who roams around disabling enemy units and menacing archers
bob b0b
cyclops are 2 movement and they take up 2 slots on your team in exchange for serious bulk and high damage. they also get access to heavy mallets (which are heavy, obviously) so in exchange for him carrying an insanely strong weapon he has to be no-armor and medium shield
bob b0b
technically as soon as you have a net and get access to the overworld, you can recruit every unit type in the game
bob b0b
and I think rainbow horses are fun but I don't appreciate how bipolar they are. Since they only fire once and have a very strict range due to the way ranged unit targeting works, they can very easily get shut down by heavy shields
bob b0b
ranged units dance a very delicate dance between being really strong when not countered, and really shit when they are
Dane b0b
another post is that I want a rape whistle after getting ambushed by this creature
