which is basically magic damage on a multiplier that partially ignores the magic resist

anything with a special attack that pierces def or int is inherently broken for the first game

in the second game they got smart and anything that's intended to be remotely tanky has a Pen Block in its items or is just outright given resistance to piercing effects

I'd aim to pick up a data type soon, or a free type for safer coverage

its pretty weird to me that theres vaccine and data types

well everything is a triangle

light and dark go both ways

water > fire > plant > water earth > electric > wind > earth

vaccine > virus > data > vaccine

currently you have a pretty okay-ish matchup against data types, and can do the funny thing against viruses where you field only vaccines to completely smother them

but you're either completely neutral or weak to vaccine type in attribute matchups

that's why I say it wouldn't hurt to pick up a data type

you could get a wanyamon and evolve him into gaomon and then gaogamon

generally it goes by jrpg rules, the latest and most difficult area you can access is generally the best place to grind in, though it definitely helps to have a guy for exp boosting

either by getting Tactician USB from production at the island or via guys like PlatinumSukamon and PlatinumNumemon

nume gives 300% exp bonus and can stack that with another 300% from holding three tactician

giving him a multiplicative 900% exp bonus

and then you get two more numes and six more tactician for 2700% exp gains

that seems a bit overpowered

that's if you really give a shit about it

just one nume is fine

300% is already very significant

but if you want to go for the 200 abi shenanigans like full maximization

you kinda need the overkill for your exp income

just to lessen the time it takes
