Watched the SAO movie
Was pretty good
I like the Progressive story a lot more
and that they don't just retcon characters from later seasons
which would have been an easy way to remake the Aincrad story
They'll prolly introduce them in the second movie
I don't think this is a spoiler to say
but they don't
They kept the cannon, and just added more from within (an expanded) SAO playerbase
they didn't retcon any of the later ALO or GGO characters in
Ok that's good
It's also strange to me they're doing Progressive as a set of movies
Prolly more cost effective than making a whole nother anime that's supposed to be essentially the same aincrad arc
Just from another perspective
(for a lot of reasons) the SAO author felt like he never really gave the Aincrad arc enough time on its own, since the story is full of timeskips and whatnot
So Progressive was meant to be a slow methodical telling of each and every floor
Some changes of course, but the same major story beats
I'm just glad the first movie was good
hope the rest are too
Todays episode of classroom of the elite might piss off twitter
