infact, I'd say not knowing the source at all makes the second question easier to answer objectively
I'll answer the second question first then
but if you skip episodes based on what people call anime original filler, you can't really judge the anime as a whole
as being good
just parts of it
So far I'm inclined to answer yes it is good, but I haven't reached anything even remotely considered filler yet so I will come back to this when I've watched more
