It really didn't need a second season so I was worried

it didnt need a second season sure, but i dont think there was any reason to think it would be mediocre considering the type of show it is

my worry was they kind of concluded a lot of the character arcs season 1

in a suitable way

yugiri still hasnt gone through any kind of arc, or had any focus at all really. I don't know if there's anything there to expand on but she seems to be the least fleshed out character in the group. she's just kinda there. Tae at least fills a role nobody else does

so i'm hoping for something for yugiri

It is probably one of my favorite animes in recent seasons admittedly

I think it is really good

I think there have only been a few parts in the last 18 episodes that were iffy, and one episode where I think the pacing was kind of fucked

I was hesitant when I first saw that the spider was in CGI

but its honestly fine

its not the super lazy kind of CGI use that you usually see

some of the basic monsters like those damn frogs had bad cgi but thats to be expected of trash mobs

i know the CGI turns off a lot of people though, even though this is far from the worst cgi

it feels deliberate because its basically a game world
