it's not bad, especially since we all like the show and all

season 1 had a lot of parts that just sucked

like the politics arc that was 2 episodes

but every episode clearly pairs in sets of two

yeah for sure

so far if I had to rate this season (or half season since it is split in half) compared to the first, its a point higher

I think S1; with director cut pacing was better

but neither are masterpieces

like if I had to rank my enjoyments

S1 was like a high 6 low 7, S1 directors cut is like a mid 7, Season 2 (part 1) is like a low to mid 8

Fun fact about rezero season 1, I actually skipped an episode by accident once and did not notice. It was episode 1/2 of them doing the royal selection

Re:Zero as a story is way less interesting the further they get away from the capital

are all great

Max you never commented if you were mad that the episode a few back spoiled the opening

I think that the story being told, benefits from actually having all the relevent characters present

and not the piecemeal portions of story you get when you only have 1-2 characters doing something

Re:zero tries to act big-brained at times, about how "everything's connected" in S1

but the parts tht are actaully connected, are the best parts

setting that part of the story up, and executing on it

is the part of the series I think is really good

I can't wait to wait for the second half of s2 in two seasons
