OPM season 3 being the lowest rating thing I am watching, below the meme sex sports doctor show is funny

Last two episodes have been less bad (slightly more animated) than the first
the first episode was fucking rough though
overall it is super low effort though
the director got bullied off twitter
although before the anime came out apparently he was saying stuff kind of hinting he knew things were going to be bad
JC staff is so fucking funny, because we literally know they have teams that are good and if they try you can get good animes from them
railgun looks good
I swear they have like 3 teams, and only the railgun team is good
I mean, I don't expect it to get one for a while
We also don't know if JC is doing ITEM or if another studio is

JC Staff was always meant to get the mid-budget SoL and cute girl shows
literally everything they do is just okay at best
but somehow get major franchises thrown at them
The last (and some of the only) non series shows I watched from them is executioner and the konosuba authors other show
I don't even actively avoid them, just because I only pick up shows that look good, I naturally avoid them
I assume their issue is mostly rushed productions
because they pick up so many properties
and they just rush out absolute crap while they let their good team take its time on properties they actually want to make good
Danmachi and toaru are the only modern shows I think they didn't hold back
if you go back far enough, they were more in-line with the rest of the industry
now they're definitely a cut below
I don't like CGshit
so I can't judge
the new Patlabor will be the same way

executioner wasn't bad, not great, but i liked it

season 2 is the worst season excluding the spinoff
thats season 2
on one hand, I like the later seasons a lot, but the entire S2 arc is just fucking stupid
the low-point of S1 is all the melodrama with the midget loli
and S2 feels like a retread of that + a contrived antagonist that gets solved multiple times the same way
I think if you get over the stupid part of the series that is early, and how season 4 is kind of just a black sheep because season 5 is goofy
the series is pretty good
Danmachi is definitely a story that was written as it went on
Yeah
weirdly, there aren't that many complete retcons
but random dumb stuff will happen, get normalized, and then forgotten
(basically all of S5 in a nutshell)
