Replying to Dane #princelydone I really thought they would engage the "main plot" by having the devs see Sunraku as an upsetting force to their storyline and it would be all about them posing challenges to Sunraku to prevent him from beating their Unique Events

the same reason I think SAO progressive is so good

Shangri-la is a good character show that is just fun to watch, it is not a strong narrative show and never has been
my issue with sangra-la (no spoilers) is that I don't think they use the supporting characters effectively at all
