I just assumed it was bad writting of "and then that happened"
anime

the plot summary for Solo Leveling (to where the anime is rn)
doesn't feel like a lot, until you think about it
and then there's a bit of trying to piece wtf is happening together
Yeah idk, I just assume koreans can't write, but are probabably better on average than the chinese
I don't think it's poorly written up to where the anime is, unless I'm forgetting something
other than everyone being named Dong will never not be funny
The red gate just kind of happening with no set up is not the best writting
but other than that, I have no particular complaints
yeah, but that was kind of my original point
the "wtf is happening" piece
Yeah idk
Sawano is doing a good job with the OST, and A1 is doing a very good job with the animation, so I am okay with Solo leveling even if it is just okay
You might like the studio bind broadcast club anime Dialga
seems like something you might like from E1
counterpoint, it's a show about slow overly emotional Lesbian highschoolers
in a way that I don't even think Polu is going to like that much
it feels like a show straight out of 2005 though, so that's a positive
I am willing to let bind cook, I ended up liking onimai
only reason I am watching it
Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku
for context
One of my most excited is tomorrow (ishura S2)
other than that I am waiting on 100 girlfriends, my other top excited sequel
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 in a way that I don't even think Polu is going to like that much
I really liked the first episode
Yeah I thought you'd like it when I finsihed it
do you agree with me that it has a banger ost for some reason
I actually stopped the episode 8 minutes in to check who the fuck composed it
its a well known guy who's done a lot I liked
Just writing a note for myself but feel free to add
Most common types of characters to get isekaied:
salaryman
gamer
shut-in
joshikousei
Actually shut-ins are not that common. Usually they are salarymen and often they are also gamers.

Do the reverse, what is a character type you've never seen isekai'd
Immortal
Mao-sama kinda fits that
Daemon lord gets reverse-isekai'd and becomes a fry cook
and uh, well there's another semi-popular one where literally god gets isekai'd w/ amnesia
but saying the name spoils the series
I was going to say milf, but then remembered about the series Mom's multi-hit-attack
that counts
(esp since there is a Ni no Kuni anime)
Someone who had been iskeai'd (but not back to his original world, to a new random iskeai world)
I still want someone to do that plot
I know you're talking about a 3rd fully different world (that's not just a timeskip)
actually Pika, if you count VRMMO games as isekais
it happens all the time Kappa
Which I don't!
Polu, what if the SEED is just one world though
what if we're all in the SEED right now
(but yes, I agree SAO counts)
I've never seen an anthropomorphic fish get isekaied
oh, also
you have to exclude shows where all of Earth gets isekai'd
Fish no, spider yes
I think thats close enough in concept
hmm the sea is different though
there's a mermaid isekai I think
a girl swaps worlds with a mermaid, or swaps bodies or something
Can anyone think of an isekai where a newborn baby is isekai'd
I doubt there are many that isekai historical figures in a realistic sense. There are plenty that do it but they all end up taking major liberties with the people
which kind of defeats the purpose and all, but I'm drawing a blank on if I've seen that

Honestly, I want it. The least relevant isekai

idk. fate is pretty accurate
king arthur especially
and nero
they are isekaied into reality? I thought they had their own weird universe
wait, Pika is Superman technically an isekai, since he's shot to a different planet as a baby

Ya Boy Kongming
Uhh you're not serious. I don't think he would think his work was done and just chill in Japan. Wouldn't he want to see the land he lived in with his own eyes?
Why, its thousands of years later and everyone he cared about was dead
Two thousand years ago mainlanders didn't care about Japan at all pretty sure
The general writing trend seems to be most people who get isekai'd are usually pretty chill with it, the more accomplished/older, the more content they are
