Last year I dialed anime back in favour of games but I am finally getting around to watching some I missed.
The absolute biggest shows last year were Frieren (cour 2) , Dungeon Meshi, and Solo Leveling
and I guess the Spice & Wolf Reboot, but that's more an cool industry thing, not a massive global hit
I watched Frieren for sure. I watched Loser Ranger but I'm not sure if I finished it
Limiting it to anime I finished that started airing in 2024, there are only five results and I scored them 5/6/6/7/8.

I remember Salad Bowl (the other Kantoku show) way better, bird show was trying to be 10 different stories packed in one
Yeah there were like four plot threads they tried to move along at the same time.
But none of them were any good
If I remember, it was:
merchant thread
magical girl thread
organization thread
regular person thread
the child grooming thread w/ the neighbour girl
and I'd argue the otherworld merchant was sorta 2 threads
with the actual merchanting, and the starsage protect the kingdom thread
Oh yeah I forgot about that! lol just goes to show how much of a mess it was
Normally I recommend people shows, but I am going to be honest, I doubt I can recommend you shows that you will actually like
so instead, here were my top 10 shows from the last year
All I will say of anime at this moment is that i looked at what is coming this season and it looks like the least interesting selection i've ever seen

7th prince is the least isekai imo
it's more of a reincarnation magic fantasy show, that just happens to involve another world
they've retconned slime into mattering
or at least it seems like it, with the breadcrumbs they've dropped last season

Actaully caught up on the two new shows that started. Fruitmaster sure is something, should not have renamed it from nutmaster though
also the studio bind radio brodcast show has a banger soundtrack, the composer did a good job with E1
fruitmaster is a stupid show, but I like it
