You can never get the eperience Polu, Garbaga, and I had where MAL listed a bunch of women as main characters, then none of them showed up, and we kept trying to figure out how they'd fit them all in
then it just montages them in the last 3 minutes of the last episode
then mal removed them as main characters
so the 3rd girl just gets put on fishing duty and fucks off, not even a real harem member

the manga definitely did the work adapting the novel
