there has legitimately been zero things that have come out worth watching
that we do not watch here
though, I did have a lot of fun when we were awatching those shitter free movies the last couple months
but we essentially ran out of them
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak I think being obsessed with your hobby is fine as long as it is not "I am forgoing things I need to be doing to do this"
Yeah the obsessed part is when in my free time all of it is spent on one thing like anime, gaming, shows… then I quit them for awhile
Last time I went to the theatre was to see endgame with my dad since I followed all the marvel goyslop
and it is likely the last time I will ever go
Unless polu shows up at my door to drag me to some anime movie or something
There are a couple directors I like, and their last few movies have sucked too
Don’t remember last movie I’ve actually watched
which is a real shame
I am excited for sonic 3
thats the only movie I can think of
movies also just do not consume that much time, 1-2 hours a couple times a year
max
No way not sonic
Game Award stream soon Pika
that's the next big thing
Yeah, that is internet stuff though
Just watch the 20 year old anime of sonic it’s better
Just watch sonic X
its so cool when they go to space
SO COOL
I think I’ve bought one of each sonic Lego set
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 that's the next big thing
I made sure to book my ticket to go back home for the holidays after the game awards, I am all set spooky
I like keeping up to date with random inconsequential internet things
that is my main hobby, followed by either anime or gaming depending on what kind of mood I am in
Art style in anime is like old video game graphics to me. Like older than 4 years ago I couldn’t play certain video games cause of the look of them. But within last 4 years they are tolerable because new video games are so trash I give up graphics for storytelling and single player experience.
I try to keep up in almost every subject. Haven’t watched numberfile in awhile though
There were so math youtubers I liked, but I was never really in to numberphile
not that I have anything against the guy
I also just do math, so I don't go out of my way to search for math videos to watch
I stopped cause I found the individuals he interviewed more interesting than his own videos
its more so just if it comes up in my youtube recommended I'll click on it
Like the one older guy who makes the math stuff out of glass
Spark Dragon, you strike me as the kind of guy who would just love a 9 hour documentary about bomberman
Maybe not about bomberman
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tCnVuPmHwI well I am posting it anyways
A Bomberman Journey
www.youtube.com
But when I was younger I watched the entire history documentary of the Vietnam war
Like in elementary school. Mom got it as a Christmas gift for me I think
alternatively, bobby broccli is a good youtube documentary channel
if you have a passing interest in the history of science drama
Replying to (Not Spooky) Spark Dragon #sparkdragoon I try to keep up in almost every subject. Haven’t watched numberfile in awhile though
I'll never forgive Brady's co-host from killing their podcast
all his stuff is generally good, and I like that he's chill rather than the VSauce or Veratasium approach
his replacement podcast "Unmade" or w/e its called isn't as good as HI was
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak if you have a passing interest in the history of science drama
I hate science, I think science in almost every area is falling apart, the drama between scientists is just a wrestling ring of how many more abbreviations after your name do you have
lmao
okay, when you say almost every area
we do not consider social scientists as science here
he covers physics drama mostly
Yeah “social science” is just circular reasoning and logic
I view math separately from science. But physics is a weird in between
Having done mathematical physics, its the same thing basically
But I don’t think the nutronian physics is physics
unless you view applied math as an inbetween math and science as well
which is hilarious
I view math is more geometric and shape based, not movement
Do you do any math
like, formally
I’m a civil engineer math is like part of the job
But it’s like number physics math
I see, I think thinking of math as geometry and shape based is weird, since that is basically just one subfield of math
my background for reference is I have a bacholers in mathematical physics, a masters in control theory, and am doing my PhD in information theory.
I think geometry math is neat, but I think there is a lot of more fundemental and amazing things beyond that
See in physics you break down vectors into lines right?
If you are doing newtonian physics
sure
Those lines you use to counter each other and make triangles
I think the physics that is cool is beyond first/second year intro to physics vector calc though personally
I am a really big fan of the Lagrangian formulation of physics
I think calculus of variations is very cool
That makes it too complex
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tCnVuPmHwI well I am posting it anyways
you will take any opportunity to post this, wont you
Yes dialga
Because you end up breaking it down anyway to solve the problems
Replying to (Not Spooky) Spark Dragon #sparkdragoon Because you end up breaking it down anyway to solve the problems
This is just not true
I mean no disrespect, but there is a lot more to physics and math than vector calculus and basic geometry
