My first anime was actually konosuba. It was alright. I started watching the most popular ones and didn’t really like them, finally I got to Gurren Lagan and I was hooked on robots.

My first was Kill la kill
By your definition pika, my first anime was sword art online, and that disgusts me
Listen Dialga, I am not counting cybersix as my first anime
that was on Canadian late night TV because it was written by Canadians, despite being directed and animated in Japan
By more general standards my first anime was 4Kids Yu-Gi-Oh
I guess mine was technically Pokemon or Bakugan if we count everything.

I have seen bakugan, but only a weird scattershot of episodes
I only add things to my list if I know what episodes I have seen up to chronologically
So despite having seen probably 80% of pokemon diamond, I do not have it on my list

although I did not watch gen 3 on tv, I watched bugs bunny during that era
I started with some vhs’s for gen 1 but gen 3 was airing at the time, I think right before battle frontier started?
I was nostalgic for gen 1 because of VHS, and gen 4 because of tv

Leg getting me to watch gabriel dropout was basically the start of me seasonally watching shows
yeah, very great
the last year has been too stupid with how many good shows there are
so I have been watching too much
I want it to calm down back to an average 8 shows a season again
Its not even just sequels, although that is always at least half my seasonal list
of my top shows of all time, 6 of them are from the last 2 years
There just have been a lot of really good shows
if we widen it to 2020s, throw tsubaki, 86 on the list

interspecies reviewers is a masterpiece dialga
it perfectly executes its premise
and has a weirdly compelling amount of worldbuilding
Anything I've given a 10 to, I think is special on top of just liking it a lot
I do change scores
none of my 10s now I disagree with though
I surprise myself with my scores a lot
the only change that's happened is I've lowered takagi on the list, and raised tsubaki over time
(the list is roughly in order of how much I like each)
Yeah, I do that, and I lower things if on rewatch I think I overrated it
There are shows that are fond because of what they were as an event airing
