I appreciate that Oshi no Ko is ensuring everything from the play is portrayed as a stage performance and there is nothing "imagined" a lesser show would just animate scenes from the fake manga directly

I'm glad they cut around during the play, I was worried it was going to be a lot of uninterrupted scenes

How could dubs be good when the only economic incentive they have is speed of production? People will watch based on the quality of the original's production whether or not the dubs or good or bad. Meanwhile, if a dubbing team or contractor is slow for the sake of improving quality, the publisher could receive complaints of the dubs taking too long and would then hire a team that would work faster.

Dubs will need a lot of work to better than subs. The dubbing industry doesn't have the range of VAs that subs have. They don't dub every show. They take too long to dub episodes.

You can do that with subs too if you really think about it dane.

Read subs with your second monitor but use your ears to listen to your main monitor and type based purely on sound

you know that actually did happen while I was watching Shield Hero. Netflix sometimes switches to japanese and suddenly haflway through the episode I realise ive been following the plot pretty well despite not understanding

dubs are still nicer because english sounds better than japanese

dubs are infact better if you don't actually like anime
