so things not following the source is a nonissue for me

The only fate I think is actively bad to the point where I get mad about it is fate extra, half of the FGO shit, and half of the KnK movies (counting those as fate since shared universe)
Everything else ranges from just okay to I like it
Its a full show not an OVA

I have literally seen everything that could be considered a fate anime
that can be watched, fate zero cafe does not exist in a viewable form

I wouldn't have done it all of it if I didn't need to watch tsukihime for carnival phantasm
but since I had to do that I said fuck it and just watched all of it
I played fgo for NA launch to try and mog max since she was rerolling
I hated it and stopped
that was the first fate media I formally interacted with
The things that got me to end up watching fate were 1. The scene of saber fighting lancer at the start of zero, I saw that on youtune and thought it looked good
and 2. I really, really like the egoist apocrypha opening
I want strange fake the show to come out because I want more Sawano OST
His solo leveling OST was alright, not my favourite of his work though
This is one of my favourite openings of all time
If nothing else, the anime is very pretty
and has a good OST
the story is not appealing
It is probably easier to watch the anime then to read the manwa
at least it has very good animation and music
and it probably cuts things down to be more palatable
It was my 9th show out of 10 for last season
That season was stacked though
I gave 10s to the top 3 shows
and 9s to Ishura and gushing
That is the only thing on that list that I would say is horrible

I hate this show, and when they played this in the final episode I was clapping and going "YEAH" while watching

I think the removing the helmet portions are important to the series. It reminds you that despite everything going on, it's just some MMO.

Almost with certainty, if someone says an insane take about anime, they gave evangelion a 10 and goblin slayer a bad score
