Thumbed through it, Better than late fairly odd parents, worse than early seasons. Art style is a bit strange but I don't think it's horrible. Should of been it's own ip but I am guessing that it would only be greenlit if it had a big name attached. Not watching/10 will probably be a decent show for a children's audience.

I don't think they do that good of a job of being food-focused (nor are they trying to be imo)
as a theming thing, having them cook a meal every week is a fun, but it's not really the point of the story
this episode they literally just cook leaves, but the episode is about how they all see each other and that Laios' character has some depth to it
That's also why I didn't like the manga the first time I read it, I went in expecting a food/cooking story, when that's not what Dungeon Meshi really is
