Just try more Ghibli movies
Ghibli is basically not anime, so if you like one you probably like more of them
(I have not watched any of them)
Its the Ghibli guy Jaz
he made almost all of them

I got 10 minutes into watching this with my family and they told me to turn this "childish shit off"
All I know about them is I have seen the one movie has clips of panty shots of the child

I mean, Ghibli literally is just japanese Disney, so it is kids movies
I like the majority of Ghilbi movies, but I think its weird they became this defacto go-to recommendation
because they're all VERY Japanese
in a way that I think is sorta offputting to people who aren't primed
Spirited Away was the one that won an Oscar, and inspired 1990s/2000s Pixar

oh, the recent Ghibli Heron movie won an oscar too

I guess no other animated movies came out last year
So many of these look like ass, or were ass
we watched that random scene from Migration
of the birds "flying"
I can recommend the girl who lept through time, it is likely nothing like what you are looking for, but I just watched it
so I can recommend it

As much as I like Shinkai's works
there's something kinda weird about a section on his wikipedia page detailing which commercials he worked on
This dude only makes those anime movies that normies love and get high 8s and 9s on Mal huh
it's worse than Kimi no na Wa, but that's not exactly a surprise

yep, his story is kinda interesting
Pop team epic spoiled the movie, I can never watch it

because he has that problem of he peaks, and then has people put all these expectations on him that he fails to live up to
until people forget, then he peaks again

Spirited away is mine followed by Nausicaa (even though nausicaa is technically not ghibli)
it does have a pretty great opening
but then goes full melodrama
it's better than the other reddit show

I hate this movie so much
