I am only calling this one show a sequel
because that just is liar liar
You do not have to watch liar liar
I really liked E1 and 2
They were some of my favourite starting episodes of that season
I think it just got worse every episode after, until it was just actively horrid
as much as I shit talk it, I still gave it a 4
shield hero season 2 is my lowest rated show at a 2
Its the fact that at multiple points they disregard the premise and the setup that made me really mad at the show
MC is set up to be a good liar but not really a high IQ preformer, but then he is randomly just super competent and honestly, probably does not even need to cheat to win
Red head has an entire arc set up in the first few episodes, I think they threw her story arc away in like episode 5 and she just became worthless
Liar liar is a more extreme version of why worlds finest assassin pissed me off
same situation too, favourite episode 1 of the season, I think OP is an S tier OP, then it errodes the premise
He does not really watch seasonal shows, so probably not until one of us tells him "this is good watch this"
My plan to watch for next season is 90% sequels, so you are probably safe from recommendations from me
