I think it comes down to how you read the themes of the show
anime

that golem for example, was a spell she learned back with Himmel in an E3 flashback
why she doesn't bust it out all the time, I don't think you'll get a definite answer for
but it feels appropriate for her character
A lot of her arc is "subverting what most mages do" such as concealing her mana
so her not using flashy spells fits with that
Considering this arc taught us basically every mage only uses flashy personalized spells
to the point where they comment on Fern fighting like an old person
"I feel like I'm fighting my grandmother"
is a such a good line
yeah
They could do test 3
I feel like finishing the mage test arc is a good endpoint
Frieren 100% will get more seasons
I'll be something quick with Serie
imo
yeah thats likely
It's sold absurdly well
so yeah, more seasons
only a question of when they began pre-produciton on more
you'd assume after the first few episodes, cour 3/4 were greenlit
After the 4 episode theatrical drop
so if the studio has free slots, it could be as early as mid/late 2025
they prob had enough info
idk what else madhouse has in the works
I've not read the source yet
but they've adapted 40% of what's out so far
seems like it
No made in abyss S3 for frieren
2040 will be dope
pace of new chapters is 2-3/month
it won't be sooner than late 2025
oh overlord
studios book seasons in advance
thats what madhouse has
they are working on the overlord movie
if it's a good team you can keep together, not taking long breaks is better
MT is dealing with that ok
but getting directors back is hard even for them
MT's break was dropping a great anime in between for no reason
Onimai outsold MT btw
lmao
well, that's without quantifying other media
the MT novels ending, + the interlude new volumes
likely pushed it back up in terms of overall economic benefit
Next season is going to crazy
I am so excited for half of the sequels on my PTW
My #1 wish for Freiren
is for them to NOT make a movie
Yeah
Movies are sometimes a mistake
idk any show that's been improved by following up a strong season with a movie
no game no life
I'd have taken a S2 over NGNL:Zero
since Zero ended the series
I wouldn't
I love NGNL, but the movie is special
Zero is tied closely with the later volumes, they could have done 1:1 what Fairy Tail did with FT:Zero
and it would have been better
demon slayer movie was good
I think that is my other answer
Demon Slayer's was good
that's true
