holy fuck they are never getting to it
I was right about the last episode introducing a full seasons worth of material as a distraction
I sure am glad that this show makes money somehow which means it will keep getting adapted
Kinema citrus is a good studio too, so I'd be curious to see what else they make if they were not held down by this

Now that all of my sequel shows are done, this has been a very mid season for sequel shows
shadow was good and girlfriend, girlfriend was fantastic
but goblin slayer and spy x family were dissapointing, shield hero almost pulled off an okay but stupid season but fucked it at the finish line
train lolis could be a 10/10, but only 2 episodes are fansubbed
Goblin slayer genuinely was a 3 for me this season
It didn't make me that mad, but I can understand that
It is one of the worst drops from a genunienly 10/10 shows I have seen
S1 wasn't flawless, but it was as good of an adaptation I could have expected
CG aside, the pacing was great
Biggest complaint I usually see for S1 is the CGI for goblin slayer, which is whatever since it was not even that bad compared to CGI I have seen
well, the biggest complaint I usually see is the rape in E1, but those are people who got filtered out of the show
biggest real complaint is the CGI
And some of the visuals not looking as cool in anime as in the manga is another one I sometimes see
but visuals are so low down on my tierlist of criteria for liking something, so none of that matters from me
but S2 had bad visual choices, on top of pacing issues and character issues
There is genuinely nothing I like about S2, other than the scenes with the full harem together
Because most of the girls are the comic relief
So they play well off each other
I liked the 3 dudes at the bar episode
Oh, that one was weird
I think S2 hits me harder because goblin slayer is one of the shows I have watched through a dozen+ times
so I am very familiar with S1
Yes, compared to S1
The best characters in terms of following in order are anya > loid > the dog > yor
I am less critical of it than some people here, but I only liked that arc in a "this is kind of mindless violence fight scenes" kinda way
I liked the two loid + dog episodes this season, I think thats a good pairing
But in general, the show is at its best when Anya is around the other characters
