I genuinely kind of like this season
its bad, but in a "fuck it lets just do random shit" kind of way instead of trying to be serious or whatever the fuck the tutle are was
I would like it, but only if they get a small version of filo to match the small version of raphtalia they got in the last one
then in season 5 they can go into the third great beast and get a tiny version of the tiny versions

A lot "happened" in S2
I did not rewatch it, so it is hard to remember, because sometimes shield hero just progresses where the world is and adds characters
Hey remember when this show was about fighting off the waves
Shield hero is such a case story on completing your narrative arc, then continuing despite there being no character growth possible anymore
he is no longer punished shield hero angry at the world because he was meetoo'd
arc fully complete
so they keep introducing new characters to have a 2-3 episode arc
(or repeating the same arc but replacing which other hero it is)
If he was not such a hack, it would not have had this problem
getting the shield hero to recover from not trusting anyone could have been an entire series, but they kind of resolved that in the first half of S1
Leg just hates isekais, a lot of them are good
The last bad isekai I watched (I do not watch the really bad ones mind you), was the pharmacy one from like 2 years ago
In Legs defence, I have already forgotten the thing he said about konosuba, but that is more me not interalizing spoilers at all
I mean thats a 10/10 show, but thats not true
kamikatsu was the season after saitou and I'd also give that a 10/10
vending machine isekai was fun, nothing too special though
I am not actually watching any new isekai's this season unless you count time travel or vr games as isekai

Dialga, time travel isekais, unironically, are what I would define as native isekais
I think I even made that joke when kamikatsu got to that episode
I do think going far enough forward or backwards that the world is indistinguishable is close enough in spirirt to what an isekai is, that is should count
