This arc of phijkchu feels more like a spinoff or specials more than a tenth season, All the character development from the Pika vs. Gent arc seems to be gone, the Saurkraut festival kinda happened but very half assed. One of the main characters goes insane for no reason which is completely out of character. Like max leaving makes sense, but all the other developments make it seem like there is a new writer or director or something.

I guess the animation was pretty good during the Saurkraut mini event episode

Yeah the original studio did the movie, but the new studio was left to deal with the aftermath

Athough you can tell they were cheaping out by making it in only one locale

I found it weird when they brought back one of the oldest characters, dan, but raceswapped him and never acknowledged it

I didn't watch the special because it didn't have pirate in it
