I really liked this week's MT, but I kind of worry that the balance of SoL and story relevant introductions is kind of stilted
there are also multiple lines that are just literally for LN readers to laugh at, of things that were kind of skipped over but referenced
the flow of the narrative focus from episode to episode feels weaker compared to s1
in s1 the flow was not actually that good in hindsight but it was hard carried by execution, i think the main problem is that there is less time being spent on selling things with execution, there feels like there's a lot more empty space where in s1 there would have been relevant monologue or some sort of detail to sell things better
I think the approach is to basically introduce 1-2 characters an episode, but it means you have storylines that don't get touched on for weeks at a time
but they skip over talking about any sort of progress happening (either behind the scenes or with the cast of characters)
I don't want them to go slower, because they ultimately have to make it out of school arc
idk how to do it better, it's just a hard balance to strike, that I know would be less brutal if they had more time each week
