or do you mean
spatial reasoning
but anyway, Elementary school for me was a lot of non-academic work
because... it's elementary school
Mine was a mix, but elementary school is just kind of a filter to make sure you have basic human skills
we had graded work
but the grades didn't mean anything
getting a 100 on a memorization test, wasn't about getting the 100
it was teaching kids a bunch of different techniques, and seeing which ones worked for everyone
Same, because elementary is more habit building
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 getting a 100 on a memorization test, wasn't about getting the 100 it was teaching kids a bunch of different techniques, and seeing which ones worked for everyone
yeah it was nothing like this for me
note taking was the same way, we'd learn a bunch of different systems, and aply them to projects
so lots of take home exercises
none of them really hard
but the grades on the projects were just supposed to be reflective of how well we were performing, to give us an "objective" metric to develop against
we had almost no busy work
we'd get free time on laptops or whatever
you had chromebooks Max
I saw them
We never had chromebooks
that started being a thing after my group graduated
also tbf Max
we had a computer lab with Apple computers
until 5th grade
when we got laptops
the old imacs
with the colored backs
yeah those

did you get many field trips
we went to the Richmond science museum in 5th grade
we had more, but that was out biggest one I think
uh 3rd grade we did Lurray Caverns
we did 1 a year
K-12
I think my school did like 4-6 field trips a year
