oh ok, 5 school years then
I'm class of 2029
2019* for college
Very young spooky
Replying to taxes #tzfi I don't recall a single person I ever considered retarded to pass advance, and never did I see someone get a perfect score who I didn't later see become pretty smart
also again I didn't really mean to be gaudy or "yeah I was gifted sigh... I'm so smart 🤓 " about any of this, I think in the end being gifted doesn't really effect anything other than the developmental years and it's also a topic I care heavily about and I do believe the concept of being "gifted" really is only relevant in early developemental years when you need to grasp many concepts fast and are "learning".
no, I know Max
I get what you meant
education is such a weird issue
because so many people just disregard the idea that it should be improved, or rethought
and the two extremes are "do nothing, it's fine" or "copy Asia, and have kids live at school 12 hours/day"
ok Max, grades in Elementary School
do they matter?
My careers teacher in high school let me watch the urealms cartoon and play tetris because I fished the work in 5 minutes
I remember being graded on all sorts of retarded categories
like "teamwork"
or "creativity"
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 or "creativity"
they did grade us on like, uhh i forgot the word
this is kind of what we had
Pika says this is similar to what he had
5th grade
btw
kinetic learning?
or do you mean
spatial reasoning
but anyway, Elementary school for me was a lot of non-academic work
because... it's elementary school
Mine was a mix, but elementary school is just kind of a filter to make sure you have basic human skills
we had graded work
but the grades didn't mean anything
getting a 100 on a memorization test, wasn't about getting the 100
it was teaching kids a bunch of different techniques, and seeing which ones worked for everyone
Same, because elementary is more habit building
