Entire genre of romhacks where you swap out pokemon channel videos with other anime and watch it with Pikachu so you can feel like you are not alone

anyways my initial thoughts so far on Pokemon. Season 1 - holds up extremely well. It has some issues for a half dozen episodes just before the indigo league and the way it ends is kind of lame, but overall, I think it is really good. It has actual episode continuity where essentially every single episode references things that happened in the last episode or two so nothing really feels like time filling. 9/10 Season 2 - Kind of a waste of time, it was just alright 7.5/10 Season 3 - Filler starts being a thing here where stuff happens just to fill time, also has some really good episodes still though. Also some random episodes are really well animated better than the previous two seasons and most of the current season for no reason 7.5/10 First movie and 2000 were honestly better than I gave them credit for, 3rd movie was perhaps a little worse than I gave it credit for but still good. All of the pikachu shorts are unironically peak early pokemon, weakest being pikachu and pichu, strongest probably being rescue adventure

Also Season 1 has the perk of being the only season where in anime they set up for the movie, which makes the 3-4 episodes that build up to the movie really cool

I have 2 more seasons (about 120 episodes, 2 movies, 2 pikachu shorts, and a few other specials) of classic pokemon before I reach advanced

Its fine. It is a worse version of the 3rd movie pichu short but its fun
