idk, what I've read of the ln is at best on par, mostly worse than S1 of index at least

they made some cuts that honestly improve it

Touma just keeps getting hit with shit and not dying, way more than in the anime

it actually has some thought put into it, anime just felt like touma showing up and talking for a bit

the ln was to the point where I was like "okay, he is dead"

yeah I can see that

and I hated how he essentially just showed up, ran at accelerator a few times while getting knocked back and then yelled at him

and that was the fight

Also do not get me started on the alchemist fight. They cut like 50 pages from the ln for the anime, where they just have a second side fight against a fake version of the dude

and cutting it was such a good choice

and the island arc where they completely changed it to not have some weird serial killer

sisters arc and the first arc were both alright in the ln

I guess yeah when I think about it I mostly just don't like how they portrayed Touma in the anime

I basically read all of season 1, need to get around to finishing the rest of it
