Its live action
I forget the name though
It was about a detective who gets in an accident and his wife or son dies. He doesnt know because every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up in either a dream or reality where the other one is dead
There was an interesting show a friend introduced me to and I forgot the name
Because bopit is skrub who no one likes
Yup
Here is the story if you want to read. Not long at all. http://www.npr.org/programs/death/readings/stories/bart.html
Fish die
Birds die
Parents commit suicide for no apparent reason
Protest outside the school? Somehow that causes all the salamanders around the school to drop dead
Kids are told to water trees? All the trees die
A girl brings a dog to school. It dies in 2 weeks
It didnt mention it dying but from the pattern of death in the story, it was likely to die
EVERYTHING
EVERYTHING in this place dies
Well... they probably killed it 2 weeks later
They played with it. Not sexually
The story was a rollercoaster though. It went from litterally EVERYTHING dying to philosophy to sex to a new gerbil for the kids
Thanks bopit
Now I am imagining kids listening to their parents' breathing while the parents sleep
Hear their parents going at it
But they clearly hear their parents at night
They wanted the teacher to have sex to see how its done
WEll, not porn
Yup
I am imagining these 12 year old kids being told that before they can go to bed, they have to read a page of aristotle or something
Really, this story is full of the most philisophical freaking children
"Then they said, but isn’t death, considered as a fundamental datum, the means by which the taken-for-granted mundanity of the everyday may be transcended in the direction of –
I said, yes, maybe. "
10-12
I would peg them around 12 myself
That wont let them cross the picket line.
They also have parents
Kid is used like 5 times in the first paragraph
But no age
They are referenced as children
Also they killed both the trees and gerbils
They squeel at the site of gerbils
They never mention the age but I can only assume they are young because they are learning how to take care of freaking trees and gerbils
It was in a book of 60 short stories pulished in 1981
Let me check the age
Old enough to squeel at the sight of a gerbil
Yes
Also, it seems everything around this school dies
Because it goes immediately from the meaning of life to sex with the teaching assistant
I will definitly mention that the ending was not predictable
I have to critique the story
When I get to kids asking about sex in the last paragraph, I am already too far in
I had to choose a short story from a list to read and at the end the kids ask "They said, will you make love now with Helen (our teaching assistant) so that we can see how it is done?"
