I think he is someone who used to value hard work very high, and because he worked hard, and made good things, he got a massive ego. Though, I also think the reason that he worked that hard was to maintain that ego

The only reason he's admitting to doing anything wrong is because he's well aware of the public perception of him, and apologizing for "breaking down" and "lashing out" gives the impression of him being introspective and regretful about a short period of weakness on his part. Like he acted like a dick during a small period of intense stress.

He'll probably ignore the Justin and Six stuff and ban anyone who brings it up, and then after a while, if anyone brings up the Digital Bards thing, he'll say how bad he feels to start guilt-tripping them for still caring about it...and to the uninformed observer, Rob will seem sincerely remorseful and the other person will seem like a spiteful dick.
