Because some of these buildings have centuries of legacy to their name, and it's completely unreasonable to scrub these names from history because of overly-sensitive faggots of today

If you look at the history of many of these confederate monuments, they were approved of by the union because there is (or was) a sense of respect between them

i mean, i see your point of the fact that it is history, and i am a sucker for history, but i can understand the other side that the names are literally the names of enemies of the country, some of which were promoting slavery and such. I am totally okay with maybe having put somewhere that they used to be named their previous names, maybe like a section of the building with a little history shrine or something.
