The more I listen to this "debate" I actually begin to fear Democratic rule
They're going to spend all our money

fuck it, I'm going to go through the process to register to vote for Bloomberg in the primaries
I want a moderate Dem party
Because there are dem policies I'd like to see explored
but not the insane shit they're peddling
reparations, 100% estate tax, Cap gains insanity
Energy, anti-interventionalism, gambling, (non-insane) healthcare measures, prison reform
none of these have to be democratic policies
they're just policies
but for some reason, when the cards were dealt, Dems chose these things
Prisons are bad because we've demonized and underfunded private prisons
Just make it so hospitals cannot make money buy charging 10 grand for something that costs 2 dollars because of insurance
I would socialize medicine to a degree, by killing insurance
forcing people to pay what they spend

The perfect system, is an optional one, that is there for you if you need it
It is such a foreign concept to not be able to afford going to the hospital because I am dying to me
I don't go to a hospital... ever
I don't get annual checkups
I don't go visit my doc when my arm hurts or I get the sniffles
In any socialized system, I want to not pay anything*
use of the system, should be what dictates who pays
if you get a bone set, you should get a bill
and you should pay that bill
Instead of insurance, being the middleman and making a profit, I'm fine with it being the government

I hate how our system works now
I hate employer provided health insurance, I hate mandatory insurance
I hate the fact nobody pays for service they recieve, when they recieve it

but plenty of employers make you pay, regardless of the plan you choose
and people feel they have to pay for insurrance
before they incur costs
If you visit your doc twice a year, you should pay for two appointments
instead of paying monthly insurance premiums, a co-pay upon each visit, and have the doctor have to go through a retarded process to get paid themselves
The problem I have, and why I don't want to pay for insurance
is if I get into a real accident, I figure I'll be dead
I have trouble imagining situations where I'll come out ahead, paying into insurance
I'd rather take home the extra money, and stick it in my bank account
There's stuff that could probably be done to reduce prices too, but I won't pretend like that's an easy fix
I don't want price setting
but there's got to be some way to reduce the insanity
Do not necessarily force price setting but at least maybe put a cap on it such that if thing is X do not charge 10X
