Doxing is such a weird threat
Around DC especially, rich/important people get "doxxed" all the time
but it's not like their addresses were ever secret,
it's like you said, a call to arms for people to show up and do something
deface, protest, annoy, etc.
see, that is the thing
a lot of 'doxing' is just people checking things you posted publically
like, 60% of the doxing I have seen is pulling from peoples social media, then like 35% of it is voting records
