I used to know people growing up who had Macs, and when they eventually got computers they always got MAcs
it was what they knew
I know almost no one though, that decided they wanted a mac, at some mid-point in their life
I do
Ok mid is pushing it
I know people, who picked up a macbook for college, after having (essentially) never used a computer before in their life
But my mother and father both will both only use macs
And my brother wants a macbook over a windows laptop because he's an asshat and just wants whatever costs the most
These people are all tech retarded
It's more:
clueless girl gets laptop for browsing this thing called the interent and writing papers on Microsoft Word
So im glad they are on mac
Figuring out the cable box is already pushing it for them
it's SHOCKING how many people; by grade 12, have never really been exposed to the internet
sure they have a Facebook, or browse reddit
but there's no concept for anything past the top 10 websites that they had pre-isntalled apps for on their phone
I finally got them to sorta use a desktop for some stuff
But it usually results in me having to baby them through simple tasks like printing word docs
I get the joy of doing that at work sometimes
People are just absolutely helpless when it comes to figuring out simple things
like having 2 Excel workbooks open at once
I think that example
the 2 Excel thing
has come up at least 5 times at work
with different people
it's not even always dumb people, just people who didn't grow up with computers
people our age Leg too
what annoys me more is not the lack of ability to do specific things like that, but rather the inability to google shit effectively
would solve all other problems
View two or more worksheets at the same time
Compare two worksheets in the same or different workbooks by viewing them side by side. You can also arrange multiple worksheets so that you can compare them.
support.office.comwhat the fuck is this answer
