We do not do it that way until E&M 3
which is a 4th year course
(although my E&M 1 teacher did teach us it but she kinda taught us above what we would do under the normal guy who teaches the course)
(and it was just tacked on in the last lecture and not tested on)
God you reminded me I need to pick my courses for next year

Alright, so I am required to take Quantum physics 3 and E&M 3 which runs in the fall, that is 2/5 done in one move
Leg I know nothing about that shit and would have no prereqs
I am also not interested in the QC stuff

I think it is assumed we have one since you have to take computational physics in 2nd year, but I guess not technically

Fall I am already running into an issue as to if I want to take calculus of variations, or Partial differential equations 2
since I am already quite full on classes

I basically get 5 courses a term if I do not want to overload and kill myself with 6
2 slots are auto taken up by required courses in fall
it is recommended if I want to do grad school I take the research project course which would be a 3rd fall course

If you never mention complex numbers, and explain it all from the ground up without them it is not too bad to follow
