Ready to take guesses as to the monthly sub fee?
If it launches with 5-6 games, I think it'll be $5 a month
No one will pay more, until they add in games
I think it'll eventually end up being more, $20-30 a month
But that's a while away
I do not like this model for gaming. I like buying games and owning them
Streaming AssCreed was hit or miss
When it worked, I'd say it was really good
But there was plenty of time where it didn't work well
Or would refuse to launch even
Controller has a built in, always on mic. *Playing game *Shit talk opponent *Alarm goes off "Stadia has detected hate speech." "Your youtube account has been terminated" *Try to log in to account, can't *Check gmail "Your gmail has been terminated"
is this true
does it have an always on mic
okay, I thought so but wanted to ask
Other than the whole "needing good internet" aspect
I cant do streamed games, the latency always annoys me
Even local stuff on steam link its still like a hundred ms delayed and it bothers me
I had not many latency issues
But the game would drop to 360p
Or wouldn't start at all for me
Quite often
Google's close
certainly
I just don't find the concept that appealing
Even realizing I'm not the target market
I'm sure the kind of people, who sub to Humble Monthly, like the idea more than I do
sub service kind of lends itself to the model of playing a metric ton of older or sub-par games
With a couple AAAs thrown in from time-to-time
kek, nice
Sure that won't be blocked day 1 Kappa
The kind of games I think work best for streaming, are the indies, which don't require much/any computer horsepower to begin with
AssCreed worked better than I thought it would for sure
But it's also doesn't require much in the way of precision controls
They say Doom is a launch title for this Google service, which will be interesting to see
If they can get it down to less than 10ms id consider it
But theyd need some pretty heavy server investment to pull that one off
I hope they let people try it
Or provide demos
