I had one friend who hates Skype with a passion, and was constantly forcing us to try different VOIPs
I have used 3 of those, switching curse with steam vc
I don't talk to many of my old friends anymore though
Raid Call was my favourite non-Skype client

But my recollection was 8350 and above were good, everything below that was pretty weak
As far as 8-cores went
Ghrek should try running Monster Hunter Kappa
The most poorly CPU optimized game in existence
I put 8350s and 8370s in a lot of my lesser servers
I run a Ryzen 2700 on my main rig and xeons on my main server
I'm just going to go out on a limb and say my processor is outdated by the number alone
I was tempted to put a threadripper in this one, but I was scared off by some of the issues I was hearing about
Intel doesn't make things any easier
