its a type of carfd

that's how all deck building games are though

fandral isn't that great

if you don't build a good deck you lose

you can look up some basic guides on youtube i bet. Or you can try to make some of your own decks by starting with an idea like "Oh i want to make a deck centered around this one mechanic, so i'll pick cards that work well with that mechanic"

Basic decks should still be strong enough to compete if you play them right

or it wouldn't be a very well designed card game if players without the newest cards couldn't compete with the players who did

also if you only just started playing again, of course it'll feel a bit rough. you need to re-learn stuff
