Here you go Max, here's my pitch
Let' say post-timeskip, there's a mission where you have to attack a city
before the mission you have 3 choices
poison the water supply, cut supply lines, or just storm the city
the first 2 cost various amounts "teacher points" to represent your students being opposed to it, but they each make the map easier in some way (worse weapons, less enemies, status debuff, or something)
storming the city has the mission play as intended
Less time spent bullshitting around in the monastery, and it makes the missions feel unique
also isnt it usually the house leaders plans anyways?
Then make the game harder as well
claude would poison the water supply
It's better than what post-timeskip is right now
hell, it doesn't even have to affect mission dificulty, just make it story stuff
spooky's criticisms of the game is "make the game better"

Post-timeskip is such a letdown
I am only a month into that, so I cannot speak on post timeskip yet
I liked pretimeskip though
I did too, I think the first half of the game is really good
stands on its own as a really good FE game
the fact that pretimeskip is like 40 hours unless you are umbreon, it basically is just a stand alone FE game
i hated preskip and liked postskip
preskip felt like it was building to something
You did not have to minmax at any time
(it wasn't)
i would've preferd post skip to just get rid of the teaching
