Am i stupid, or do many games not go for a "non-pixel art" 2D approach if that makes sense, I guess it might be harder or less interesting to look at? but it's either really hard core pixel art-esque, or full on 3D. Is this what it is? or am i just retarded and ignore everything

I think there is a greater volume of pixel art games

by a long shot

but I genuinely think that it's fairly even in terms of "good games"

There are really only a few "great" indie games released per year

i like cool pixel art stuff

it looks nice

but i think I just prefer 2D stylistic games

A lot of the 2D non-pixel art games go too far in the "GAMES ARE ART" direction

and you end up with a lot of non-gameplay, but pretty to look at shit

I wish Steam made it easier to see relevant indie games
