the quest layout of reapers coast is atrocious

the fact that quests jump into different level areas and you can unintentionally do/kill the end point of a quest in the early level areas, the start of which is in higher level areas

because that makes sense

I looked at a level map for the area and cringed

theres a reason most games have unkillable npcs

I mean

that is just if you are trying to minmax the quests imo

it seems like you can overlevel really easy

i mean its more than npcs

but form a story perspective it sucks

theres enemy encounters that are the end point of quests lower level than the quest starting point

it's like they added the levels to places last

is that because of the number of enemies though?

there's such a wide range on power with a "Level"

honestly I don't think level means anything in that game

in the sense that you can have level 14 adds that are reletively weak but then a level 13 boss that is much stronger

and I don't think level really guides you all too much

like the demons on bloodmoon will kick your ass if you arn't high enough

and from what I rememebr they were 15

but you should be like 16 or so

bosses are different

a lot of the game is bosses though

tbh some games just don't give them a level or do ???

I just think the levels are irrelevent

so most of the things we call a boss

they effect things like skills

aren't bosses Kappa

they don't really tell you how strong something is

like the flaming corpse witch lady

she is 15

you try to fight her at 15

you fucking die

she has mad alpha strike

you can do it at 15

you go fight a level 16

and you beat it no problem

stuff like that

I also feel liek they could have made the exp curev better

because I am going into act III at halfway through 17

and I feel way overleveled

levels do matter, but at times theres a massive variance of power with in a level

like I did bloodmoon before like 2 zones because I didn't want bloodmoon to be easy

went there at like 15 and went back overleveled for the other zones

again, larian is shit at ballance

its a shame really, I really like the game

i both like and dislike thier work

I mean I more like their work, but there are several major flaws that dissapoint me

and I feel like you can still enjoy the game even though it might be unbalanced

and to be fair the balancing thing probably isn't too bad, I just wanted to make demon buttfuck island even harder for myself
