in my opinion, you just want to get to 19/20, then only do enough to get your daily rewards and to stay in tier
getting to 20 is hard, so I take back what I said, getting to 19 is reasonable
20 took me a great season where everything lined up, and even then I only got it by 5 points

The trick to aether raids if you are not a whale is just winning by time
slowly upgrade your shit
since the barracks gives your units +4 to all stats x the level difference in your barracks, once you are at level 4 you usually always tie or are at least +4
