It felt like the two paths taking different approaches had reached this point to take down a god himself, Alm, loosing friends and his country to this monster of a god, battling his way across the continent, Celica having to embrace her heritage and took on a quest to save the earth mother, helping people along the way and even at one point sacrificing herself. These two paths intertwined by fate have come together to defeat Duma. It just feels good when you realize this started as a small fight to take back the country on one side, which evolved into Alm killing his own father. His own father who did all of this to free Valentia from the shackles of "gods".
