Skills work like this

Magic based classes get innate skills depending on their character when they level up

other classes get skills based off of their weapons

but they have to USE the weapons and get SP

to unlock the skills

Skills cost HP to use as well, and can effect things in different ways

skills arent only weapons though iirc

shields and stuff get skills too iirc?
