I always find that trope a bit annoying

Characters with a missing limb are actually more powerful/durable

And of course, the prosthetic limb is repeatedly destroyed because it can be repaired off screen

Arc four uses the power PERFECTLY, compared to the earlier arcs where he just uses it to go down "routes" in a VN, or fruitlessly trying over and over. This feels like he's actually learning things and realising, it also has some of the most epic scenes, and mystery. Plus some of my favorite characters are introduced, and Otto becomes best boy
