Rob says now that he "hates who he used to be" and all that, and I have trouble gauging how true that is

Because as far as I can tell, a lot of his restraint now is self-imposed (or imposed by Megan)

theres nothing wrong with how rob used to act but he's never owned up to it

he always acts like its always someone elses fault

even though he 100% bans people wrongly because he does it so rashly

its very rare rob goes back on banning someone at least

basically has always had 0 patience for anything so if you're wrong place wrong time then he's gonna take out his anger on you

I can think of exceptions to that, but it usually involves talking with him directly, which he rarely spares time for anymore

I'm sure you remember, back when the community was smaller, that Rob would actually ENGAGE with the people who liked his stuff

zero tolerance just meant that he'd ban/kick first, ask questions later

which imo is a good way to run community things

Some of the LoM stuff got weird, because he started second-guessing how far he should be taking this mindset

mostly down to how many young kids were playing

i was never apart of that community

all i have to go off of is watching shit anyways since my 12 year old brain hardly remembers any rob shit except like the wow cartoons

and some dvz shit

all i really know is he acts like an arrogant asshole half the time and i wouldnt mind if he was visibly nice to like any plebs but every single interaction with any pleb is basically telling them they're an attention whore and to gtfo

if rob didnt want people to help him in dvz then he should just not ask for help like ever because half the games hes askin for people to make him arrows and shit but in the other half hes mad people are giving him too much stuff

I recall that in early DvZ (before he imbued ban on a weapon) he'd tab over to his op account and ban

its because rob is so incapable that he had to use the magic spells mod to make a ban stick

instead of just

doing it

early on it was more of a way to time people out, 3 games a stream, if you got banned you were done until next week

but it became targeted at people who weren't "playing the game" at some point

Tried to get an irl friend into robs content. He got into that one game were people were digging sand and rob got pissed.

He did not take the ban well

that's just it though, people took bans the wrong way

the problem in LoM was that kids didn't have the context as to why Rob was breaking their shit, or kicking them when he was making a video

After DvZ exploded, it was the same, with all the new people not having context, and then getting pissed off in chat after getting killed/banned/whatever
