I mean, you kind of said it yourself @Mr. Ink, Rob shifted away from doing strictly comedy and now pursues a "creative" label with his work. Whether people like that as much is kind of up to them. Rob's always had different eras to his work, and there will no doubt be something to follow this one.

The byproduct of changing so much though, is that a lot of fans get left by the wayside (or at least feel they do). Sometimes it's about the content itself, and sometimes it's about Rob himself. To a lot of people, Rob meant a whole hell of a lot, and even across many eras and projects, the aim was to always have the viewer laughing. That's not the main aim anymore, in favour of more creative pursuits. I think for some fans this might be an upgrade, and they're completely on-board with the shift. Others do see it as this betrayal of his older content though, even if they still like/watch bits and pieces of it still.

People definitely change as they grow older and have more life experiences, but by whatever metric you use, you have to admit Rob has changed a LOT as a person over the last 2-3 years.

I'm happy that Rob is (presumably) happier now. But at the same time, I think he lost a lot of the charm, creativity, and passion that he previously. This is not some nostalgia goggles thing either, it's not like all of Rob's old stuff holds up with time. But if I'm being honest, I think a greater amount of stuff he produced back then will compared to his current content.

And that's fine, he's going for a different feel/purpose with his current content. You can see that from everything to the aesthetic he's chosen all the way down to how he monetizes it. It's also a further shift away from passive content on YouTube to move active "live" content on Twitch. Unforgotten Realms Live itself has also changed a lot season-to-season. (we'll see what S4 is like next month)

If all of this sounds conflicted, it's because I am. I understand both sentiments and it's something I have trouble squaring myself. Rob's built-up and knocked-down his community many times, remaking it into something different each time. And the effect it's had; undeniably, is it pushes a lot of his old fans out for one reason or another, while hopefully bringing a greater number of new fans in to replace the outgoing ones. It's just strange to see myself go from being surrounded by Rob fans in all parts of my life, to now being one of the only ones left.

This is an insult to pkmnRob, you should of left this channel in its perfect preserved state, now it's tainted by "cheese" and bright colors and a facecam that takes twenty percent of the screen. This is an insult to your old fans, but I guess you always seem to never care about your old fans, do you? It's fine, it is your channel after all, even though it would of been seen more on your main one.

And Rob, shadow banning me from commenting on your videos isn’t very nice, I’m an old fan! PS, Rusp - after I got into your old channel you didn’t think to change passwords? Really?
