Well, I guess we can end this arguement, we are arguing from different positions. You from emotion and me from a utilitarian position with regards to labels in general. Neither is really right, just comes down to preference

Death is meaningless Kappa
The rest of the statement is a matter of semantics max. As far as I am concerned, seeing the tags J and RPG together would signify the same thing as JRPG
It would be distinguished from western RPGs by the lack of a J on wester RPGs
again, entirely a position of personal preference I have with regards to labeling things.
We can continue this arguement
I was giving you an out to go play more octopath
this argument is going nowhere
if you keep going
I already said neither is really better
it is just preference
>actual points
>admits it is emotion based in the opening line
okay bud
and the other is semantics
I am
Again, having a J tag in there already signifies they are different from wester RPGs
covering the history part of your arguement
What do you want to call Korean MMOs?
if korea has its own distinct games, make a K tag
otherwise just call it an MMO as max said
They don't Pika, but Korean MMO is a genre
JRPG is a genre
Well, that is equally retarded as JRPG
But Japanese FPS are the same as Western FPS
So their's no distinction
Kapap
yeah, then seeing the J tag would give you no extra information
but for JRPGs, seeing a J next to an RPG does signify difference
I just like labels to be broken down
I can gain the same information from seeing J, and RPG as I can with JRPG
Tags are already autistic and useless
Oh I agree with that too spooky
But I'm fine with there being broad genres
Basic concepts not letters Kappa
I'd rather make broad claims about "rock" music
RPG is broad, it can cover Japanese and western games.
Than have to explain the 50 different autistic flavours
hence you add a J tag
then anyone looking at the tags will know, hey, this is going to be different
JRPG is already worthless if we include pokemon and octopath in the same catagory
New idea, how about we ditch words altogether, and just colour code everything
Yes, which is why we need fundamental tags.
Would you like to play a red game or a blue game
cut all the fluff such as JRPG, then apply the fundamental tags
I am fine with that
Pika, let's just make everything on a colour spectrum
