My life started in a small mountain village outside Bogata, Colombia in the summer of 1991. There I was left at an orphanage by my birth mother (a maid in the city) who wished for me to have a better life. For two months I stayed there with no human interaction until I was adopted by a American business owner and his Irish wife. We fly to Minnesota and there I grew up always dreaming and hoping to be a writer. I got my start writing for my local schools newspaper - I was assigned to give updates about our Wildcats basketball team. It was then that I started to dream that not only would I be able to write, but that my opinions about political and social issues would inspire all who read to better themselves and make a better society. I started to take classes on public speaking at my community college. However, while volunteering at my local women's shelter, I fell ill to gingivitis and lost my ability to speak. Until now my opinions have been regulated to the internet with a mere thousand likes per funny cat video. My American Dream felt like it was dying...and then one day I learned about ProJared and his infidelity on a PewDiePie video.

I was outraged and disgusted by this story and I wished to share my thoughts and feelings about the nature of the Alpha/Omega complex presented in human beings to the world. But sadly, no one took notice, no matter how many twitter posts I wrote. I had almost given up sharing my opinions anymore...then day I came across a simple video of him with his girlfriend. Without thinking, I typed a simple message, not prepared for what became the greatest political piece I had ever commented on. I was thrilled and honored by all the support - but also saddened by the backlash. I got some comments that were very...negative. They kept me up at night, making me wonder "Am I really cut out for this line of work? What if the trolls are right? What if ProJared and Holly really ARE more attractive then I first made them out to be?" It was a hard week for me...but I've learned to overcome the horrible backlash. I'm not only a writer...I'm a survivor. I've come to realize through my 27 years of life just how much I've changed the world with such an insignificant amount of words! Thank you all for listening...it really does make a different to give a user a simple upvote! And please... donate to your local charity so we can stop the monster that is gingivitis and destroy it from the face of this Earth!
