The way it works in FGO is you enter a map, clear a firrst group of foes then go against the boss who has like 10 trillion HP, as the "main" bar, but also a smaller bar for the difficulty you picked, you can kill that foe but theyll only retreat and your damage would be added to the big pool of damage

I am a sucker for random dialogue tbh, so maybe that is why I like this more than tap battle
